Privacy policy: Sheets Calendar Sync
Last updated: 4 November 2026
Sheets Calendar Sync (the "app") is a Google Sheets add-on made by Stacix ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app accesses, what it stores, and who can see it.
Summary
- The app runs inside your Google account on Google Apps Script. It does not send your data to us or to any other server.
- We can't see your spreadsheets or your calendars.
- We don't sell, rent or share any data, and we don't use it for advertising or to train AI models.
What the app accesses, and why
With your permission, Google lets the app:
- Read and write the spreadsheet you use it in (
spreadsheets.currentonly): to read your event rows, write back changes made in Calendar, and keep its own settings and sync history. It can't open any other file. - Show its sidebar and menu inside Sheets (
script.container.ui). - Create, read, update and delete events on calendars you own (
calendar.events.owned): only to create the events that come from your rows, keep them up to date, read changes made to them in Calendar, and remove them when you delete a row or undo a sync. It never changes events on calendars you don't own.
The app uses this access only to provide the sync you ask for, and only while you use it (when you click Preview, Sync or Undo, or edit the sheet).
What the app stores, and where
Everything stays in your own Google account:
- In the spreadsheet, in a hidden sheet named _stacix_sync: your settings (which sheet and calendar to sync, the date range, the column layout), the last known state of each linked row and event (so it can tell what changed on each side), and a history of the last 20 syncs (so each one can be undone). The history includes the event details it changed (such as titles, times and locations).
- In the events it creates, as private event properties visible only to the app: a row ID and a sheet ID, so each event stays linked to its row.
- In the sheet, in columns the app adds: the row's sync ID, event ID, status and a "row updated" time.
Anyone who can edit the spreadsheet can see the hidden sheet and these columns, like any other content in it. Deleting the _stacix_sync sheet removes the settings and history; removing the add-on stops all access.
What reaches us
- No content. The app makes no network calls to us or to third parties.
- Error reports: when the app hits an unexpected error, Google Apps Script records the error message and time in our Google Cloud project's logs, which Google keeps for 30 days. We use them only to fix bugs. We write no spreadsheet or calendar content to logs on purpose, but an error message from Google can sometimes quote a value (for example a date it couldn't read).
- Install counts and the information you choose to send us in a support email.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Sheets Calendar Sync's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don't transfer this data to anyone, don't use it for advertising, don't let humans read it, and don't use it to develop, improve or train AI or machine-learning models.
Your choices
- Remove access: uninstall the add-on from Extensions → Add-ons → Manage add-ons, or remove it at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Delete the app's data: delete the hidden _stacix_sync sheet and the sync columns. Events in your calendar stay until you delete them (or use Undo first).
- Ask us anything or request deletion of a support email: support@stacix.com.
Children
The app isn't directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).
Changes
If we change what the app accesses or stores, we update this page and the date above before the change is released.
